We've designed a swimming pool and gardens for a residence in Hingham. Geometric shapes, classical detailing, and a reserved color palette combine to fulfill the client's demand for simplicity and elegance.
A long slender pool stretches toward the great stand of Norway Spruce at the back of the property. A wisteria covered arbor connects two pavilions and casts shimmering reflections in the pool. The white columns and cedar shingled roofs of the pavilions echo the colonial style of the house.
On one side of the pool enclosure a white hibiscus hedge extends along the property line providing screening from the neighbors. On the other an elegant wrought iron fence allows views from the pavilions to the vibrant perennial borders beyond. Inside the pool area a predominately green and white planting scheme complements the pale brick colored pavers, accented by brightly planted pots.
