The Ellison Center is located in a renovated church building set on a small but prominent triangular site. Despite its size, the site accomodates all of its uses gracefully. The path from the parking lot to the main door is tucked into a sculpture garden and framed by a grove of Japanese Maples. Pieces of the old church foundation are used as remnant walls in crowned beds along the walk leading to a brick paved landing. A children's garden and play area is located on the protected southeastern corner of the site, while the parking lot is set behind cedar fences to the north. The triangle at the western end of the building, the most public introduction to the Center, will be an important display area for sculpture.
River Bay Club will be a new home where its tenants will be proud to entertain both family and friends, and not just a place to live.
